Have you ever felt like being a kid again?! Jumping up and down, no matter who is looking, just trying to get as high as possible?! Well, the other day we got that opportunity at Kickair Manchester, the indoor freestyle park.
We were invited for a taste session and we definitely had a great time. The park is located close to Manchester town centre but it provides free parking for customers so it is quite convenient.
When you get there, the first thing you need to do is sign the waiver that acknowledges you are aware of the physical risks of this type of park. You can do that when booking your session online or right there at the venue. After that, you are given a pair of kickair socks. (no, you don’t need to return them, -who would want a pair of sweaty socks anyway! lol- but we asked, just in case…) 😀
You have lockers where you can leave your belongings there for just 1 pound, that you get back. Now that you’re ready one of their team members will guide you to the safety video where it shows the safest positions for you to have fun and the ones that you should avoid doing.
Then, the park is all yours! We were quite lucky because I think that due to going there just right after school we had all the trampolines to ourselves. Our 2-year-old boy looked adorable trying to jump from one to the other. He was so light that he barely got to bounce…haha
Our 6-year-old girl had an absolute blast. Being able to jump with daddy and mummy, seeing how much mummy was struggling to keep the pace and laughing at ourselves every time we fell it was an amazing opportunity to have fun as a family. Hubby and I were both out of breath after the first 10 minutes, while our little ones had energy for probably 2 more sessions! Oh yes! a session lasts for 1 hour but I think you can always add more time if you want to.
For us, 1 hour was plenty of time to try everything. After we had all even got to jump from one their highest points, adults got to have a little break while the kids were still playing at the soft play area they have right next to the cafeteria.
Overall it was quite a complete family experience. Grown-ups get to rid off some stress and calories while kids have a blast bouncing, kicking, climbing… it was great!
Pay them a visit during the summer holidays, I am pretty sure you’ll love it. We even thought of maybe holding our eldest birthday party there next year. 🙂
**We were give free entrance to the park for the purpose of this review but opinions have been honest and our own**
